Meet Haley

Haley Parizo (she/her) is a pediatric RN, certified postpartum doula, birth doula, new parent educator, infant feeding educator, and small business consultant. She is professionally trained through the University of Vermont, Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA), ProDoula, and New Horizons Training Network, and is a member of the Perinatal Professionals Association (PPA). She provides thoughtful, evidence-informed support to families and professionals across Vermont and beyond.

As a nurse and doula, Haley is especially known for her expertise in postpartum overnight care, bringing a calm, steady, and highly attuned presence to the families she serves. As an entrepreneur and working mother, Haley has experienced firsthand the value of meaningful support. This perspective shapes both her approach to postpartum care and her work with small, service-focused business owners. She understands the critical role support plays in both early parenthood and entrepreneurship, and believes neither should be navigated alone.

Haley is the Co-Founder and Co-Owner of Vermont Doula Company, LLC, where she serves as the Director of Postpartum Services. At VDC, she leads the development, training, and delivery of postpartum care across the agency and was instrumental in building the systems and operational infrastructure that support the entire company. Vermont Doula Company is Vermont’s first (and currently only!) doula agency. They offer full spectrum doula support and have an employment model.

She also played a key role in developing the Volunteer Birth Doula Program at the University of Vermont Medical Center, where she served as the program’s first coordinator. She is the former owner of Island Doula, LLC, where she provided pregnancy, birth, and postpartum support to families across Vermont.

In addition to her direct client work, Haley provides consulting for doulas, agency owners, and service-based business owners, specializing in supporting doula agencies as they transition to employee-based models. Her work is grounded in real-world experience building and leading a multi-provider agency, with a focus on systems, thoughtful operations, and long-term growth. A lifelong learner, she regularly participates in advanced business trainings and continuing education to further refine her leadership and operational expertise.

Haley lives in northern Vermont with her husband and two children. Outside of doula agency ownership and consulting, she enjoys cuddling with her kids, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, time on the water, and traveling with her family.
